Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. -Proverbs 31:25
Me and the Proverbs 31 Woman was about to fight. I was so tired of hearing sermons, reading books, or people telling me as a Christian woman I had to be like her. How!!! It was a struggle. Took some time but we’re cool now. We’ve come to an understanding at least I did on my end. She’s beautiful, smart, giving, unique, blessed and strong AND so am I.
She’s quite the example. The quirks that I have or the areas like organizing, or sometimes I struggle waking up early or I get rather “hangry” when I don’t eat, or sewing, I hate it mostly because I’m not so good at it (I mean at all!), that’s OK. I’m always open to learning and sending items to the cleaners! (yep, sure will. lol). And I know, there’s a plethora of women I see that I can also get tips from to enhance my knowledge. EVERY WOMAN has a gift; something to share that can lift others in areas they may need help in.
One of my personal mantra’s or phrases is “I AM STRONG ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT I AM WEAK”. You see, I’ve learned that my total strength encompassing Mind, Body and Spirit has to come from the Lord, because if I did anything on my own, the minute a fearful thought comes, adversity, illness, a mean word from someone, etc came my way, I would surely cave in giving up 100%. I could very well lean on tangible things I may have, but with the Lord, I know those things will come and go but HIm, He stays FOREVER-A KEEPER forreal (Psalm 73:26).
Whatever or Whomever you may encounter today, remember to Smile and don’t let them see you sweat. Look UP, He’s got you. (Jeremiah 29:11 THRU 14).
Father God in the name of Jesus, we come humbly before your throne thanking you for being the ultimate strength that we need to survive and thrive. Psalm 119:105 says that your word is a light to my feet and a lamp to my path. Help us to remember this each day, each morning and night as we come and go, no matter where we are, what we may face that in all are weaknesses, you are strong. May your word, NOT our thoughts, fears or adversity guide us forward to command the day. May we walk in joy remembering that we are apart of you as you are apart of us and celebrate the uniqueness of it all that sets us apart and makes us fearfully and wonderfully made. We love you!
With Love,
Missy Anne
