Mornings
With MissyAnne
Good Morning Beautiful!
Welcome to Mornings With MissyAnne –
Jesus brings the Sonshine, I bring my heart!
My beautiful mother gave me the nickname MissyAnne when I was a little girl. She named me Antoinette, so it took me awhile to understand how she came up with this nickname. I was a very inquisitive (maybe nosy), active (sorta busy-body-ish), talkative (that’s the right word) little girl. I would get called MissyAnne more than likely when I was “doing the most”, getting into trouble. I always had a thought or something to say. And I grew to enjoy writing at a young age because it helped me get everything out on paper.
I’ve considered myself introverted in ways perhaps the opposite of my younger years depending on the company. I could moreso attribute this to life’s experiences growing up. But wholly writing affords me a way to express myself freely and openly. It allows me to share some of my most deepest thoughts without censorship or becoming too “HYPE” vocally I suppose. I’m learning that there is a uniqueness in every personality trait, however sometimes titles place barriers or limits to your mind and can cause a shift in how anyone might view the world and/or their capabilities. This virtual blog provides a way for me to leave my comfort zone and also connect with others who can relate or maybe not but enjoy reading what I’ve shared. And believe me it’s hard for me to share so when you’re reading these, know i’m being real and it wasn’t easy, but if it helps someone to include myself than that’s all that matters. And I’ve also discovered a Sis isn’t really an introvert at all. But we’ll get to that in a later blog.
I’m a woman who is very passionate and that cares about current issues that affect this world to include my son, other women and most importantly God’s Kingdom. I also have dozens of personal mantra’s and one of them is “Context is Key”. I’m not a Bible scholar by any means but reading full chapters and verses has helped me grow so much as God ministered to me through His own words as I was going through different trials. The “one-liners” I knew from TV or from some churches used to make me feel good and shout at that time, but I had no total idea or way of applying scripture spiritually encouraging myself. Because of this, I believe that the understanding of scripture past the cliche’s are very important and essential to spiritual growth and development. So on my site, l share my personal views, some glimpses into my quirky & crazy journey of life and tie them all into relatable lessons learned along the way with scripture for your own further reading or maybe curiosity.
Each “morning” brings a new chance to start fresh and try again. By God’s grace I”ve had quite a few. And just know, It doesn’t matter how many times or if you’re reading these in the day or night, take a breather, join me and prepare for your new day ahead! I’m ready, are you?
With Love,
Missy Anne
